Holding Light at the Edge of the Known X

Description

What lies beyond the edge may not be unknown, but simply unseen. The camera faces outward, but the process is always inward. Here, the self becomes a symbol: not of arrival, but of attention. “I long to accomplish a great and noble task,” Helen Keller wrote, “but it is my chief duty to accomplish small tasks as if they were great and noble.” Standing on ice, holding a light, is such a task.
