Pillars of Birch VII

Description

To stand among the birches is to stand in a place between them. Between winter and spring, between rootedness and flight. The masked figure is caught in this in-between space, a bridge between past and future.

Like an actor waiting for the curtain to rise, this character is poised at the edge of something unseen. “There is another world, but it is in this one,” wrote Paul Éluard. This photograph is that world—timeless, surreal, a place of quiet revelation.
