Pillars of Birch XIII

Description

The trees, the wind, the sun—they remain. But the figure is something transient, something passing through. The mask, smooth and blank, suggests anonymity, yet there is something deeply human in the posture, in the way the coat catches the wind like a sail.

Rainer Maria Rilke once wrote, “The only journey is the one within.” This photograph captures that journey in its purest form—not a path through space, but through being. The figure moves yet remains. The trees hold firm yet change.

This is the poetry of movement, the art of transition. A moment caught, yet never truly still.
